And the race goes on..

It's a mad mad rat race everywhere. Be it a 2 year old or a 70 year old this world doesn't let you just be with yourself for few minutes. There is no moment where one can for a change think of nothing and yet accomplish something. We feel guilty by not converting our thoughts into some kind of material gain.

I think we have moulded this world in certain way that, we are constantly trying to do something that makes us 'visibly an earner' of sorts.

My take on this is totally different. I prefer taking breaks where I don't do anything. I always do things at my pace. I never study for my exams or work towards my profession/career like a mad blind rat, so that I can compare myself with somebody and be at par with my contemporaries. If that make me kind of a looser, so be it. Being a looser or a winner is totally momentary and it just goes out of context when something else that's more achievable comes up! (Big Line and a small line you see..)

I firmly believe that being ideal is a way that you create serendipity. Its important to just be and be at peace. We need to pace down a bit to try to give way for renewed energy and discover how spectacular one can be.

All my pity is with the kids. We try to enforce from day one of their birth that being competitive is good. We keep comparing. If a kid doesn't recite a poem like kids of his age or doesn't do his number/alphabet orals well, the parent panics and next you find that parent totally devoted to make his kid number one at the next social do.

All I am trying to put forth is, competition is good and to some extent necessary for accomplishments to happen. But, having some space for yourself alone and not do anything is always more better according to me.

Let me know your thoughts too...

Ta.
